A Good Day To Walk

It's been a great week.

The kids have been outdoors almost all day, every day which translates to tired kids who want to go to bed. "Mamma I go nap now" as Gracelynn has said numerous times.

Believe it or not, the highlight of the week happened only an hour or so ago...
Clayton decided to walk!

Okay, so he tried 3 steps, fell over, and hasn't managed more than 1 or 2 after that, but the crazy thing is: he hasn't even been that interested in standing by himself. Unfortunately, we didn't catch it on video because we were so shocked ourselves. My did he grin though. :) Since that, he gets so excited to be standing by himself he waves his arms like crazy and just flaps himself onto the floor.

We also discovered that we are 4 for 4 on the Kelleys liking pasta. It has always been a Gracelynn staple and apparently...is now a Clayton go-to food.

Mmmm...

Clayton couldn't stop smacking every time he put in a handful. He was a bit distracted by the camera...but you'll still get a bit of the "sound" effects. :)

P.S.

The recipe was compliments of Jill and one of our favorites:

Breaded Parm Chicken over Angel Hair Pasta
4 breaded chicken breasts
4 slices Parmesan cheese (we use Pepper Jack)
angel hair pasta
spaghetti sauce

Bake breasts as directed (usually about 20-30 minutes at 450) in a 9x13 casserole dish. Ten minutes before your chicken is ready, start your pasta. Mix with a jar of spaghetti sauce. Dump it into the casserole dish, but leave the chicken uncovered - put a slice of cheese on each breast and pop it back in the oven. (At this point, I turn my oven off and just let the cheese melt).

Pull out your casserole dish when the cheese is melted or even slightly browned. Serve with garlic bread and fresh salad!
