Mud That Wall!

Yep - we're at it again!

This morning, the FOUR of us mudded the bathroom walls, cleaned out the "medicine cabinet" (which was actually just a temporary tub they'd been dumped in during construction), and sorted through...ahem...all of my "junk" aka hair-ties, curling irons, nail polish, etc!

Below is Gracelynn clearing out "Mommy's pretties"...
"Wow Daddy! These sure are heavy!"

She also thought she was helping when she dumped out a container of Q-tips. Oops...Heath and Gracelynn were on clean-up detail for a while.

And then there's me and "our boy" who got stuck mudding. :)

Afterwards, we went downstairs to wash up...
unbeknownst to us, we looked over to see Gracelynn coloring at the dining room table. We think it's time to invest in a little "kiddie art table"!
Gracelynn's still feeling pretty punky - apparently her medicine typically makes toddlers hyper...only a little over an hour's worth of naptime yesterday!

YES!
MOMMY is TIRED!

A Cow says Mmmmm

Although Gracelynn has been sick (and now on meds), she's managed to learn several animal sounds this week:

A cow says: Mmmmm
A chicken says: Buh buh buh
A dog says: wuf wuf wuf
and a pig says: oaldk asdk gadsgf

Okay...so we're working on "oink", but she's loving her farm books. :) And since we haven't had a chance to post pictures lately, I figured I'd just give you all the rundown of our last week or so in pictures.

Gracelynn enjoying some Piggy back time

Gracelynn's favorite perch to eat her snacks...
Want a peanut butter sandwich, Mom?

Her first up-close look at a real "cow"

Gracelynn's first Oreo - thanks to G'ma...

A our now not-so-little niece...Renae!

It's A...

BOY!

Ultrasound went really well and we'll be welcoming a little boy this August!

At first, our little guy was napping in the breech position because the technician (who recognized me from Gracelynn's ultrasound!) thought we'd have to come back just to get better pictures. All of the sudden, he figured out he was supposed to be putting on a show. Lol. The tech told us she was pretty sure it was a boy rolling around...and about 5 minutes later, gave us the pronouncement that this was indeed, "100% boy". Haha.

150 beats per minute and healthy. Praise the Lord. :)

Baby Update

Well, by the time most of you will read this...we'll be looking at a fuzzy picture of our little boy or girl and marveling over God's amazing gift of life!

Originally, my ultrasound was to be the 1st of April - however, since Heath has the rest of the week off, I was able to reschedule the appointment to tomorrow (Thursday) so that all three of us would be able to "see" this newest addition to the Kelley family. :)

WOW!

Gracelynn is on a "baby kick" and loving up on each and every infant she meets in a carseat. Most have to be rescued from her "hugs"! She's also very interested when I tell her "Mommy has a baby...right here!"...but I'm thinking she has her sibling mixed up with my belly button.  ;)

The jury is still out on our little peanut's gender...
but hopefully, by 4:00, we'll have a good idea on whether Gracelynn will have a little brother or a little sister. We'll let you know!

Ultimate April Fool's

With the permission of our dear friends,
I am going to share the ultimate April Fool's Day joke with you.
(Spouses, don't try this at home)

Characters:
Mrs. D.
&
Mr. D.
Mamma D. (Mrs. D's mother-in-law/Mr. D's mamma)

Telephone Conversation
Mrs. D: "Mamma D., I need a really good idea to help me celebrate my first April Fool's day as a wife. Have any good ideas?"

Mamma D: "Actually, I have a great idea! Why don't you pretend you're pregnant!"

Mrs. D: "Wow, that's a great one - he'll never suspect! I have a friend who could take care of peeing on the stick! Haha. This will be a great joke..."

Phone message from Mrs. D to Mr. D
Mrs D.: "Hey honey, can you come home please? I've not been feeling very good all week. I've actually been throwing up, but I didn't want to burden you with it because I knew you had a full week. I've been nauseous too. Could you just please come home?"

Later that day...
Mr. D: "Excuse me, guys, but my wife just called and she's not feeling well. I'm going to have to cut this short." Scratching his head    "I don't understand. It sounds like she's pregnant! I just don't understand how this could happen?"

Even later that day...at home
Mr. D: "I got home as soon as I could. How are you doing?"

Mrs. D: "Honey...I have some news for you. I'm pregnant!" Extending the false positive pregnancy test

...Long pause by Mr. D who is now holding his head in his hands and groaning...

Mr. D: "Well, at least you know why you've been gaining all that weight lately."

I Wanna Be A Rockstar!

It was too much to resist sharing these pictures with you...

Baby Update:

Well, 18 weeks have already flown by. Our ultrasound is scheduled for the first of April. Hard to believe I'll already by 21 weeks by then. Wow!
Everything has been going really well. I'm finally feeling "back to normal" which in mom terms means only semi-tired all the time. :) Still managing in my regular jeans, but I told the Lord the other day, if it doesn't warm up soon, I'm up a crick! I have plenty of maternity shorts/capris to get by this summer, but I'll be darned if I have one pair of maternity pants long enough to cover even my ankles.

The baby has been moving around like crazy lately - and is sitting very low, I might add. It's been a completely different pregnancy than Gracelynn so far, almost night and day. If that means anything in personality, we'll have a very colorful family. :)

I want to go outside NOW

Which should I eat first?

Good Morning Sleepyhead!

Stop looking at me...I'm eating...

Little Pink Marshmallow

(I forgot to post this a week or two ago! Whups...)

Brrrr!
More snow!

The last few days, we've had to go out and shovel our sidewalks...accompanied by our little pink marshmallow pictured below!

She LOVES following us along the sidewalk...so as long we clear her at least one shovel's width, she's all smiles and pink cheeks. :D

(Feeling bad for Sam here...since he can't come out and play)

"Where the Sidewalk Ends"
We think Shel Silverstein should put out a new edition of his sidewalk book and this should be the cover! Hahaha.

And just for fun!
